Hologram

A weight made of refined orange clay with a rough surface, dating to the Roman Period.

The artifact has a truncated pyramid shape, with a through hole near the smaller base, which is concave. The rough workmanship and absence of decorations suggest a functional use, likely related to daily or craft activities.

It stands 6 cm tall, comparable to a small dice. It is perfectly intact, with the original structure fully preserved and the hole clearly defined. The surface, although rough, shows minimal signs of wear consistent with the age of the object.

3D Model

On this webpage, a series of slides illustrate the step-by-step process of the 3D modeling of this historical artifact. The images show how the final 3D model, enriched with photographic data, was obtained by modeling point clouds with extreme precision in millimeter measurements. The virtual model has been prepared for 3D printing, allowing for the creation of a tactile replica of the artifact.
